Recordignition Lda (hereinafter Recordignition), with headquarters in Rua Cidade de Bissau 47E 32.3, 1800-075 in Lisboa, Portugal, respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you provide us. We would like to share with you the following principles that govern our privacy policy. 

The information we collect 

Throughout this Policy, when we refer to information that personally identifies you as ‘Personal Information’, Recordignition collects Personal Information that you provide to us with your consent in order to reply to your requests, such as to process your requests, send advertising and promotions by email or invite you to events. 

The information we collect and store is the information you give us, such as your name, postal or email address, telephone number, occupation or personal interests, your bank account or card number. 

If you provide us with Personal Information about a third party, such as your spouse, you must have that person's authorization to give us their data. 

When you access the Recordignition website, we will record your IP address (the location on the Internet of your computer), to give us an idea of which parts of the website you visit and how long you spend in each section. We do not link your IP address to any of your Personal Information, except in cases where you are browsing our website having previously registered your username and password. 

Access to certain Recordignition web pages, services, products and activities may require a username and password. It is your responsibility to keep your username and password confidential. You may choose to give us Personal Information in various cases, such as when you: 

• Register an account on Recordignition's websites; 

• Use certain Recordignition products or services; 

• Participate in an online survey; 

• Request to be included in an e-mail or mailing list; 

• Participate in a promotion and/or event, or 

• When you provide personal information to Recordignition for any other reason. 

How we use your personal information 

Recordignition uses your Personal Information to reply to your requests and to communicate promotions, campaigns or events, as well as other requests you may have made. In cases where a new request is made, we will only communicate the information necessary to process your request and we will oblige these third parties to limit the use of your Personal Information for the fulfilment of your request in question, always raising awareness, but without direct or indirect responsibility, of compliance with the general data protection regulation (hereinafter GDPR). On the other hand, we may use your Personal Information to contact you in the context of market research and customer satisfaction questionnaires, always with your consent. 

We will use your Personal Information to provide the products and services you have requested, to return your call, and to provide you with commercial material you have requested. 

We may also use your Personal Information to create anonymous data files or data sets, to carry out statistical analyses and for other purposes, omitting or suppressing information (such as your name) by which you can be identified. We will also disclose your Personal Information when required to do so by law, to enforce our Terms of Use, or in an emergency to protect your personal safety, to the public or to our website. 

Your choice and control 

We will always notify you before collecting any Personal Information and tell you why. We will ask for your consent before using or communicating your data for any purpose other than that for which you gave us your data (to reply to your requests and to communicate promotions, campaigns or events and also other requests made by you). 

Right to access, update or deactivate your Information 

Users may review and modify their Personal Information at: www.recordignition.pt or by contacting us. You may request the deactivation of your Recordignition account or any Personal Information processed by us by sending us an e-mail to: geral@recordignition.pt. 

If you decide to deactivate your account (if applicable), to the extent permitted by law, we will retain certain Personal Information about you in our files for the purposes of preventing fraud, resolving disputes, investigating conflicts or incidents, enforcing our Terms of Use and complying with legal requirements. 

How we protect your personal information 

Recordignition guarantees the security of the data you provide us through certified softwares that assume total security and through secure and certified Internet connections. 

Although we are committed to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee this if it is provided to us via an unsecured Internet connection. For this reason, we ask you to take all necessary measures to protect your personal data when browsing the Internet. 

Some ways to protect your personal data are to change your passwords frequently, using a combination of letters and numbers in your passwords, and making sure you use a secure browser. Still, be aware of ‘fishing’ attacks, which try to steal personal data about you and your bank account. Fishers use emails to take consumers to fake websites designed to trick the recipient into providing sensitive personal information, such as their credit card number, account username, password and social security numbers. Recordignition will never send you an email asking you to provide or confirm Sensitive Personal Information. If you receive a communication on behalf of Recordignition such as these, please forward it immediately to geral@recordignition.pt and delete it from your computer immediately. 

Changes to this privacy statement 

This document was updated on 22 April 2024. Recordignition may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time and at any time.
